Last Sunday was a gray day. After church I let the kids run around in the light drizzle. They enjoyed dancing in the rain.
I watched my friend's kids while she ran some back to school errands, and when she returned we all walked to the park. Lauren loves being around big kids.
Will has been on a painting kick recently. Since Tuesday was Aunt Emily's birthday, he dedicated this painting to her.
The community center was closed this week for annual deep cleaning, which meant that all water aerobics classes were held at an outdoor pool. Wednesday evening Anthony took the kids to the baby pool while I worked out. Lauren's indulged in her favorite pool pastime by filling up a water bottle, then pouring it out on the sidewalk.
Thursday we made a repeat trip to The Berry Patch. There was another family there picking near us, and Lauren upset one of their kids by eating berries they had picked right out of their bucket. Despite the frustrations of having to spend 2/3 of my time making sure she wasn't stealing berries, we had a fun time. Hopefully we will be set on blueberries for awhile.
A sight I love to see. TJ and Will making dinner. They prepared a sweet chili we first had with Alicia and Bryce and cornbread. As per usual when Will assists, his fingers are in his mouth after he swiped a bite of something. Cornbread batter, really?
Saturday was the last day at our neighborhood pool this summer. I am still sad that it has closed for the summer. There are other city pools open, which we will visit to ease my pain, but the rest just don't compare.
