My good friend Lauren took family pictures for us on the grounds at the Nelson-Atkins museum this fall. She always does a great job, and didn't disappoint this year.
Lauren's face in this picture pretty much sums up how she feels about taking family photos. Not interested.
Despite some attitude problems, Lauren was able to get some great pictures.
We happened upon a HUGE pile of leaves. It was seriously the largest pile of leaves I have ever seen. Even though we had already gotten our "money shot," Lauren was kind enough to take a few pictures of us playing in the leaves.
Will had a BLAST. The key to good family photo shoots in the future is enormous piles of leaves.
I wanted some pictures of the two of us, but felt almost as awkward as I did when we got our engagement pictures taken seven years ago. Couple pictures make me feel really self-conscious. I'm used to hiding behind the kids and leaning on their cuteness as a crutch.
Thanks again, Lauren!

That picture of you and Tony looks nice. The girls came up while I was reading your blog and Evaline said, "Hey, I know them! That's Bro. and Sis. John!" So you're not forgotten 'round these parts. :)
