This past week we've been in the northeast for a family reunion, so our photos are a bit of a preview for the forthcoming family reunion post.
Will and Sadie watched World World for a bit after church while we packed and loaded up our things. It takes a lot of work and stuff to get 13 adults and 5 kids ready and able to spend a week away from home.
This was the view from the back porch of the house where we stayed for the week. My camera doesn't quite do the view justice. It was my first time visiting Maine and I have to say, it was quite beautiful.
The house we stayed at had a pool, but it wasn't zero entry, so Doug bought a baby pool for the babies. Weston and Lauren weren't very excited about it at first. Of course, the water from the hose was pretty cold.
On Wednesday, we took a hike that ended at some natural pools and water slides. Will and Sadie enjoyed "making rocks jump" as Will called it. It was really fun watching the these two cousins interact this past week. They had their moments, but the positive interactions definitely outnumbered the bad.
Carly bought the cousins some cute coordinating outfits, so we decided to take some pictures after brunch. Will was downright uncooperative, and Elise was more interested in exploring than looking at the cameras, but the rest of the cousins looked pretty cute.
Friday was a quite rainy, so we spent a lot of time indoors hanging out. Here, Lauren is spending some time with Uncle Matt. Everyone was so nice and helpful with our kids throughout the week. It is going to be a rude awakening when we get back home and my kids are stuck with just me all day.
Saturday we went zip-lining and had a great time. In the above photo Anthony is attempting to break a course record for the number of twists on a single line.
