Due to some lingering "tummy troubles" the kids and I stayed home from church on Sunday. I went for a walk in the afternoon and it felt good to get out and enjoy the fresh air and unseasonably warm (high 70s) weather we've had this week. It might be warm, but the leaves have started to fall. Anthony and I spent a lot of time raking and bagging up our leaves and acorns on Saturday and it made me really annoyed to see FOUR people raking or blowing their leaves into the road! I clearly really harangued about it, because Will asked me if I was going to call the police about it. Maybe I need to temper my frustrations a bit.

Lauren had her five year check-up Monday afternoon. She was an excellent patient, especially considering she had to get four shots. Our doctor's office gives a lollipop and sticker for each shot, plus a popsicle, which helped ease Lauren's pain. I'm so grateful to have such healthy children.

Will, Lauren and I got our teeth cleaned Tuesday afternoon. Will's dreams are coming true and he finally has some loose teeth!

I took the kids to Shaake's pumpkin patch Wednesday after school. I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to fit it in this year, and had resigned myself to the fact that we weren't going to go, but then a friend posted an album of her family visiting the pumpkin patch over the past 10+ years and I decided we had to do it. We blasted the Annie soundtrack as we drove to Lawrence. Will is a good sport. Lauren has recently fallen in love with the movie and songs and I am enjoying it too.

We went to the OP-C Trunk or Treat Thursday night. Anthony was out of town this week and it was really starting to wear on me so I almost didn't go. If the kids didn't already know about it I probably wouldn't have gone. My friend Tabitha helped take the kids around while Elliott and I handed out candy. Will is Frankenstein, Lauren is Ariel and Elliott is a frog. Each of our kids have been a frog at this age.

Will spent the entirety of Trunk-or Treat with his buddies, so we had to take a family picture in our costumes with our self-timer at home. I dressed up as a witch, Anthony is a cop, and Lauren was Hermione. Will and Elliott were Frankenstein and a frog again.
