We had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard Sunday afternoon. Will and Lauren got really into it and scampered all over the yard hunting for eggs. Anthony did a really good job of camouflaging the eggs and the kids passed right over quite a few.

We didn't have a chance to dye eggs before Easter, so we did it Monday night for FHE. As with most activities that involve an opportunity to make a big mess and mildly stress me out, the kids loved it. They got really into it and were pretty creative with the colors and embellishments. The saddest moment of the night was when Lauren told me she wanted to see the inside of her egg. She handed it to me and I started peeling the shell off. She was so sad when she realized that we couldn't put it back together again and cried for a good five minutes.

Another Tuesday, another half day playdate. This time we met at 360 Gymnastics. It isn't free, but it is a great option if you need to let your kids run around and burn some energy. It is a gymnastics facility with all the typical gymnastics equipment you would expect--high low bars, vault, balance beam, trampoline, rings, etc. There are also enclosed rooms (with glass walls) that the kids have previously played dodge ball in. All of these block things were in the corner. One of the boys walked over to them, then the rest followed. They spent almost the entire time we were there battling with these blocks. As usual, Will had a great time.

Some of Memaw's Easter eggs had quarters in them. Will and Lauren decided they HAD to put the quarters towards new Beanie Boos. Using 40% off coupons at Hobby Lobby they were each able to buy one for under $4. We went to two Hobby Lobbys so I could use the coupon twice. Lauren bought the Unicorn she has aptly named, Unicorn. Will selected Tundra the white tiger. They brought their other Beanie Boos out to welcome the new kids when we arrived home.

Elliott is rocking and rolling these days and often finds himself in places he didn't plan to be. He's not crawling yet, but he isn't sitting still either.

Lauren got her hair trimmed at Great Clips, and as per tradition we visited Petsmart afterwards.

Lauren outgrew her toddler bed awhile ago, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do next. We have a double bed she sleeps in occasionally, but that's in Elliott's room (her old room). Will and Lauren sharing a room has (for the most part) been a good thing with both of them at times being scared and being on a similar schedule. But the double bed would take up too much space in Will's room so that wasn't a great option. They like to play in their room and even a twin bed would compromise the amount of free space in there. We finally settled on bunk beds for space saving purposes. Anthony and I started to put it together Friday evening, but Anthony had a meeting and then fantasy baseball draft that kept us from completing it. Saturday morning we finished it up and tonight is the inaugural night. Both kids have been very excited about the change. I love that my kids get excited about simple pleasures.
